Day Zero - Last day in the US

Well guys, this is it; I'm going to Japan.  Since I haven't really had any Japanese experiences yet, I'll keep this first entry short.

I spent my last day in the US packing, shopping for shoes, playing Commando In the Groove , and eating FatBoy ice cream bars.

mmm... FatBoy

I'll miss my large portions and oh-so-creamy ice cream.  My teeth probably won't though.

I'm leaving for Chicago in 6 hours.  Should I be sleeping?  Yes!  Last night I stayed up til 7 a.m. packing and working myself into a frenzy, so I don't think that's happening just yet.  I am actually going to attempt to sleep on the plane, which is usually very difficult for me (but THIS TIME... will be DIFFERENT).

I'm going to miss this place and all of you very much.  Wish me luck!  It's time for some Hayate the Combat Butler.  And remember, "The heart beat fast back them." - Tokimeki Memorial, Japanese dating simulation game

  3. Thank you, oh sister of mine!

We've been so busy since we got here that I hardly have time to think about blogging, even though there's a lot that I want to type about. Usually by the time we get home and I have free time I can hardly move.

  4. Good Luck Mike and I hope you don't end up suffering too much from Jet Lag.

    1. Going over to Japan doesn't actually have much in the way of jet lag, since all you need to do to adjust is stay up later. Considering that I'd been staying up until 6 a.m. before we left, I had a pretty good head start.
